Rotary Club of Fox Valley Sunset Service Trip
November 11 - 18, 2017
Mar de Jade
Chacala, Nayarit, Mexico

Purpose:  To assist with the development of the Youth Village and to meet with local Rotary Clubs.

The goal of the youth village is to create employment and reduce poverty, violence and delinquency by addressing the needs of youth while taking advantage of the opportunities offered by the increase in tourism and its related needs.  It will include a carpentry workshop, a food processing workshop and a learning center. Rotarians may be put to work doing construction, gardening and working with students. We may also have opportunities to help out at an elementary school.
We also plan to meet with one or two Rotary Clubs in the area to learn about their projects and encourage their support of the Mar de Jade Community Projects.  We hope to develop an ongoing relationship with Rotarians in the area to continue to work in this area for years to come.

Plan:  To spend the mornings being of service and afternoons/evenings relaxing at the beautiful Mar de Jade Resort.

Visit www.mardejade.com to learn more about the resort and their community projects.
