CCH is done for another year with the exception of the wrap up meetings to review our performance.  Now is the time to make any appropriate comments to the CCH committee.  We set a new record with the last car out the door at 10:02 AM.  The line of cars delivering got pretty short a couple of times, but with so many volunteers doing multiple deliveries, we managed to keep a continuous line moving.  Nierman only had to yell twice.  Either we are getting better,or Tom is getting old and soft.  Scary. Clean up took about 30 minutes and we were headed for the MOOSE.  Thank-you to the Moose for a wonderful breakfast with hot coffee and sandwiches.  The relaxing social gathering after the completion of the event is always a great way to end the event.

The latest Rotarian Magazine had a couple of items worth checking out.  A short blurb about Carmel, Indiana, where a Rotarian, who also happened to be the Mayor, convinced the city to construct Roundabouts.  They currently have 150 and are planning more.  Very few traffic signals left in town.  Accidents with injuries are down 80%.  And a feel-good article entitled "Birth of a Hospital".  The story of a California medical doctor and his wife, who went to Uganda and provided medical care for the Batwa people that had been displaced from their jungle home in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest when it was made into a national park.  A true "Service Above Self".
First Friday Social will be held at Kim Keefe's home/office.  Kim will have some beverages present along with snacks.  However, you are free to BYOB if desired.  Kim's off ice is at the corner of Dean and South Streets.  She will provide parking instructions in next weeks bulletin.  The first Friday Social for February will be at the new brewery, Mob Craft, located in the old Sherrif's office.  Meeting locations will be published in the bulletins.

It's been a mild winter, but the birds still need food and especially water when the temp gets below freezing.  Fill up the feeders and invest in a bird bath heater.  It will be more enjoyable to walk in the woods with a nice covering of snow.  So, for now, find a good book and curl up by the fire.
