Rotary + Food Shed: Service Above Self, Close to Home

If it’s been a while since visiting the Food Shed Co-op, now is a great time to stop back and see the progress underway.

Under new leadership, the co-op has sharpened pricing, strengthened partnerships with local farmers and producers, improved in-store consistency, and expanded weekly promotions like Fresh Deals and the Owner’s Basket. It remains 100% community-owned and locally governed in Woodstock.

Rotary and the Food Shed share a common mission: strengthening our community through local action. When Rotarians shop the Co-op, they support local agriculture and manufacturing, sustain good jobs, and increase access to high-quality food that supports the health of our region.

Through the Community Investment Campaign (CIC ’26), the co-op is inviting investment to reinforce its financial foundation. At the same time, growing weekly sales is essential to achieving long-term stability. Simply choosing to shop locally is the most immediate and meaningful way to help ensure the Food Shed remains a strong, viable force in our community.

Rotarians are encouraged to stop in this week, take a fresh look, and see what’s new. Click HERE to start receiving the weekly sale flyer by email.
