Saturday, Oct. 14. 9a-12p: Electronics Recycling Event. City of Woodstock is partnering with Environmental Defenders of McHenry County, McHenry County Department of Health, and Elgin Recycling to bring this (mostly) FREE recycling event to our community. It will be held at the McHenry Co. Administration Building, 667 Ware Rd. in Woodstock. They will be accepting various electronic waste items (some with a fee). Also accepted: textiles and clothing, clean Styrofoam, alkaline batteries ($1/lb.), fluorescent tubes and bulbs ($1 ea.), paper for shredding. For all the details, visit this link.
Saturday, Oct. 14. 1p-5p: Woodstock Wine Walk on the Historic Square. Grab your friends and enjoy a fun afternoon out in Woodstock! Sip and shop your way around downtown Woodstock and the Historic Square during this fun-filled autumn afternoon. Wednesday, Oct. 18. 5:30-7:30: The 101 Small Business Workshop Series: Legal Issues in Entrepreneurship. Hosted at Stage Left Café, The Woodstock Area Chamber of Commerce & Industry, in conjunction with several other partner agencies, presents this wonderful workshop by Manager of the Illinois Small Business Development Center at McHenry County College, Mark Piekos. Thursday, Oct. 19. 10a-noon: Woodstock Fine Arts Association's Creative Living Series presents Homer Hickam, “Aim High: Stories and Inspiration from a Real-Life Rocket Boy” at Woodstock Opera House. Friday, Oct. 20. 8p-10p: Live Jazz at Stage Left Café. Jazz on the Square's "Jazz Night" takes place on the third Friday of every month at Stage Left.
