If you missed last week's Woodstock Independent, it was the topic of conversation - and Larry Hanson's Happy Bucks - at Friday's meeting.
One of the feature articles was "Daughters join Parents as Educators" - multigenerational families teaching in D200 including Georgia Wicker, Breanne Pfrank Wicker's stepdaughter. In the article, Georgia named Diana Frisbie, her first grade teacher as her inspiration to get into education. (Side note - Diana drove Georgia's mom Wendy to the hospital when she was in labor with Georgia, so Diana has been there since Day 1.)
And there was a Flashback photo from 1995 of Luke Lohmeyer and Kent Frisbie celebrating being named the Pekin Insurance Agency of the Year. You may not recognize Luke as he is sporting the darkest beard I have ever seen.
Larry threw in Happy Bucks in honor of those Rotarians and spoke from the heart - as only Larry can - about his pride to be part of our club, because Woodstock Rotarians are featured in the Independent every week in one form or another - and not in the Blotter!
