As we heard a couple weeks ago, the fabulous Service Above Self scholarship committee winnowed down 35 applications to select Abigail Pagnotta as our winner. Abigail is a senior at Woodstock High School, where she ranks 8th out of 247 students with a perfect 4.0 GPA. This fall, she will attend the University of Nebraska–Lincoln this fall to pursue a degree in Forensic Biology, with plans to minor in biochemistry or microbiology.
Abigail is deeply involved in school activities, including girls basketball, soccer, choir, National Honor Society, and the Blue Streaks Service Club. She’s a dedicated community volunteer, contributing over 150 hours at Young at Heart senior pet rescue and participating in events like mobile food pantries, library service days, and Christmas Clearing House. She also works part-time at Bull Valley Golf Club, balancing banquet and outdoor service roles with academic and volunteer commitments. She will be joining our lunch meeting on May 30th to tell us more about her plans after graduation.
