Saturday, September 9: Woodstock Farmers Market on the Square; 8:00 - 1:00
Saturday, September 9: Soul Jam; 1:30 - sunset. More information, location details, and ticket sales found here. Soul Jam takes many of the things we are passionate about and rolls them into one event. A day of good music, good people, and always supporting a good cause. Each year they choose a different local cause as the recipient of their proceeds. They offer a nice lineup of about ten local bands, some of whom they hire and some of whom donate their time. Food is available for sale and people are also allowed to bring coolers of food and beverages. Groups of people set up chairs and tables on the lawn and settle in to enjoy the day. Wandering the farm and meeting the animals and catching up with friends are among a few of the possibilities.
Sunday, September 10: Planet Palooza; 10a - 6p. Planet Palooza is a FREE outdoor event on the Woodstock Square aimed at ways to “Make our planet a better place to live.” McHenry County Non-Profit Groups/Organizations that address Environmental issues, groups that advocate for Diversity & Equality, groups that combat Hunger, Homelessness, Domestic violence, Drug addiction, Human trafficking, Suicide, Gun Violence etc., as well as those groups who provide other essential services to our growing & diverse communities will all be exhibiting. Groups will have information booths with demonstrations and activities set up along the walkways on the square so that visitors can get more information on ways that we all can help them to continue their great & necessary work here in our county! Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays in September: "Tea in the Shire" at Casting Whimsy. Join them as they celebrate Hobbit Day (Sept 22) all month long with their "Afternoon Tea in the Shire" menu. Book your tea times, reserve your spots, and choose your menu items here.
September 8, 9, 10: Kishwaukee Brewery Oktoberfest Weekend. Get your lederhosen & dirndl ready because Oktoberfest is here! They’ll be celebrating all weekend long with fresh beer releases, live tunes, fantastic food, and stein-holding competitions. Prost!
September 8, 9, 10: Holzlager Brewing Company Oktoberfest Weekend. Join them in celebrating Oktoberfest and Hozlager's 4th Anniversary. It will be a weekend of great beer, great food, and great friendship as they hoist beers to celebrate Oktoberfest. Prost!
September 9 and 10: Stade's Farm 9th Annual Arts & Crafts Show. Saturday, September 9th (10 am - 5 pm) and Sunday, September 10th (10 am - 4 pm), go experience their 9th Annual Arts and Crafts Festival at Stade’s Farm! Visit a showcase of over 90 original artists and crafters specializing in jewelry making, paintings, wooden signs, metal garden art, soap aromatherapy, holiday decorations, handmade paper cards, knitted items, dog treats, pottery, sports items, blankets, etched mirrors and glassware, marvel lamps, clothing, children’s toys, and so much more. Saturday, September 9: Woodstock Community Choir Fundraiser Night at Chipotle in Woodstock (161 S. Eastwood Dr.). Eat yummy food and help them raise money for the Woodstock Community Choir! Show or mention the flyer so that the choir gets a percentage for purchases made 4p -8p on September 9.
Saturday, September 16: Rotary Club of Cary-Grove Craft Brew Festival. Join other Rotarians for the annual Rotary Club of Cary-Grove Craft Brew Festival at Rotary Park in Cary, IL. This highly anticipated Summer event features over 20+ unique craft brews (craft beer, hard cider and seltzers) music, food trucks and beer games! Guests will have an opportunity to sample and learn about new and exciting brews from local, regional, and national craft breweries. Tickets and event info can be found here.
Saturday and Sunday, September 16 & 17: Silver Screen Spectacular, A New Musical Review. A New Musical Revue featuring hit songs from the movies we know and love. Featuring music from films such as Grease, Sound of Music, A Star is Born, Greatest Showman, animated classics, and many more. Join us for a night of fun family entertainment that is sure to be the event of the season. Starring professional and local talent, led by an all-star band, and featuring a duo of dynamic dancers and a talented youth ensemble. Sunday, September 17: Mexican Independence Day Celebration on the Woodstock Square. The seventh annual Mexican Independence Day Celebration this year on the Historic Woodstock Square runs 11a - 7p! There will be family-friendly fun for all. You don’t want to miss this great event that draws thousands to the Historic Woodstock Square each year! Wednesday, September 20: Woodstock Fine Arts Association will host “An Evening with Legendary Polar Explorer Will Steger.” Steger has traveled tens of thousands of miles by kayak and dogsled over the course of 50 years, leading teams on some of the most significant polar expeditions in history. Tickets are $95 and will benefit the Woodstock Fine Arts Association. The price includes a pre-reception buffet dinner and dessert. Saturday, September 23: Curtains Up at the Woodstock Opera House. Performances include Judith Svalander Dance Theatre bringing to life Julie Fiore Hirsch's choreography to tell the story of young playmates Danior and Mala and learn that as their family’s journeys separate the pair, their story is just beginning. Then, Theatre 121 presents a variety showcase that explores the process of bringing a show to the Opera House stage. Enjoy singing, acting, dancing, comedy, and drama, and a lot of fun. They’ll pull back the curtain and share with you how a show comes to life! The evening begins at 5:30 with a pre-event reception, with the show at 7:00 and also a post-performance reception at 9:00.
