How To Complete A Make-Up

1

Read a variety of current articles in our Programs section and/or choose articles from our Archived Programs list and/or information from our Avenues of Service pages. You will be required to answer questions.  There is space on the makeup request form for up to three articles to be reviewed, however you will need to read more than three to meet your 30 minute visit obligation.

2

At the end of your 30 minute visit click on Make-up Request Form from the drop-down menu at top of page OR the bottom of each make-up program.

3

Read Makeup Request Form carefully, and follow instructions. A Make-Up Form will appear once you press the SUBMIT button (one time only) and an email copy will be sent to the email address you provided.

PRINT YOUR MAKE-UP FORM

Once your make-up appears, if you know the email address, you can also click on File, Send and email a copy to your club secretary.

Remember, as Greeter this week, you need to arrive at Waynes City Lanes Bowling Alley on Church St early to greet members, visiting Rotarians, and guests (collect guest lunch fee of $15.00).  You also provide the pre-meal prayer, check attendance, announce guests and visiting Rotarians, manage the marble drawing and provide "Fun & Frolics."  If you are unable to fulfill your greeter obligation, please contact the next person in the greeter rotation to take your place.

Stories
Rotary Club updates

Where are we this week?  As in Tomorrow?  Read up above...it is in the bulletin!

District Conference is April 24 and April 25 2020.  A Friday and a Saturday.  Mark your calendar.

Riko has moved (read up above).  Call her.  Schedule an event with her.  She is on Clubrunner-easy to contact her.  She is ready, willing, and delightful.

WIW.  Weekend In Woodstock!  January 30, 2020 to Feb 2, 2020.  Call Garrett and volunteer to host, drive, or be a participant.

Call Paul Gehrhardt.  1-847-778-9252.  Ann Hughes (Thank you Ann) gave us an update on Paul.  Paul is having health issues and is not as mobile.  He would enjoy hearing from each and every one of us.

CCH Santa Hut Update!  Chris Cantwell kept us informed about the experiences and long lines of kids waiting to visit with Santa.  Thanks to Chris and his dedication beyond dedication to this wonderful event of the season.  All who were in attendance when Chris updated us saw the joy and tears of happiness.

Last week’s program – Mike Morris was initially asked be our program to highlight his efforts while he was a member of the Harvard Rotary Club.  He started the Harvard Community Gardens and it was such a success that it was featured in the Rotarian Magazine.  He went on to reminisce about his time in our club previously (Mike was a past president of our club and a 5-time president of the Harvard Rotary Club).  We are glad he is back in our club!!!  Enjoyable program Mike, thank you.
2020
So, you sign a document/check, send an email/letter etc. with the date of 1-9-20 and you think that is today.  Someone who does not follow the 4-way test comes along and adds 18 after 20.  Now what?  Was that signed on 1-9-2020 or 1-9-2018.  2020 hindsight would say for this year, one must always use all four (4) digits.  Just another helpful bit information one gleans while READING the bulletin.

If you are still reading at this point…The First Friday event last week at Kingston Lanes (our meeting tomorrow is at the other bowling alley in Woodstock) was VERY SOCIAL!  Great turnout.  Plenty of space to move around and enjoy other Rotarians and their spouses.  Riko attended for a short time.  Tom Rodgers was in attendance as well.  Hope to see you at First Friday February (FFF).  Thank you, Laura Cullotta, for organizing these events.
