How To Complete A Make-Up

1

Read a variety of current articles in our Programs section and/or choose articles from our Archived Programs list and/or information from our Avenues of Service pages. You will be required to answer questions.  There is space on the makeup request form for up to three articles to be reviewed, however you will need to read more than three to meet your 30 minute visit obligation.

2

At the end of your 30 minute visit click on Make-up Request Form from the drop-down menu at top of page OR the bottom of each make-up program.

3

Read Makeup Request Form carefully, and follow instructions. A Make-Up Form will appear once you press the SUBMIT button (one time only) and an email copy will be sent to the email address you provided.

PRINT YOUR MAKE-UP FORM

Once your make-up appears, if you know the email address, you can also click on File, Send and email a copy to your club secretary.

Stories
Tonight only!
Tonight is the Woodstock North/Woodstock soccer game featuring our exchange son Thomas starting for North. He is number 10. Woodstock North is having a stellar soccer season and is leading the conference. The game starts at 6 pm. at Larry Dale Field. Come out and cheer Thomas on.

And while I hope he has an excellent game,  I am biased to Woodstock tonight (actually it is not just tonight - it is a permanent feeling) and their starting Defensive Midfielder MacLean Buckley - number 15 for Woodstock.

Rotary Closes Blarney Island!
Thirteen Rotarians and guests partied the night away and closed the famed Blarney Island - the Key West of the Midwest.
(Returning to port - not pictured are Cesar Vega and Gene and Adele Wetzel)

Last week's First Friday was a special field trip to Blarney Island arranged by our Club Service Chair, Laura Cullotta who arranged for us to have the place exclusively to ourselves. And while she was not able to make, she sent her dad Gordon to represent. He happened to be the only one in our group that had been there before - back in the 80's.

This was a Blarney Island experience like no other. There were no lines for drinks, no lines for the bathrooms. There were fierce bags competitions with Stacey Iwanicki throwing screamers right into the hole and Sal Speciale fighting through a broken collarbone to knock the competition aside.

Unfortunately the weather was not cooperative. With all the recent rains, the Chain and the Fox are no wake zones and it was a little cool and breezy that night. I am certain this was the most heavily dressed group that bar has ever seen. Probably because of that we took the time and fellowship to reminisce about that very same weekend in 2014 when our club hosted the coldest, wettest Oktoberfest on record and assign blame to the appropriate party.

After we closed the place down, we headed to Crystal Lake Brewery for their annual Oktoberfest.

It was a great night with fun and fellowship.

Thank you Laura for making the arrangements - Luke wants to go back in July or August.
