Rotary eClub One
How To Complete A Make-Up

1

Read a variety of current articles in our Programs section and/or choose articles from our Archived Programs list and/or information from our Avenues of Service pages. You will be required to answer questions.  There is space on the makeup request form for up to three articles to be reviewed, however you will need to read more than three to meet your 30 minute visit obligation.

2

At the end of your 30 minute visit click on Make-up Request Form from the drop-down menu at top of page OR the bottom of each make-up program.

3

Read Makeup Request Form carefully, and follow instructions. A Make-Up Form will appear once you press the SUBMIT button (one time only) and an email copy will be sent to the email address you provided.

PRINT YOUR MAKE-UP FORM

Once your make-up appears, if you know the email address, you can also click on File, Send and email a copy to your club secretary.

Stories
And then there were 50
As of 9:00 am on May 25, there were just  50 tickets left.

This, despite the last day of sales at the Farmer's Market was (more than) a bit of a rain out. I think we can contribute the day's success to the management/oversight of the volunteers by Erin McDonough.

Remember - we are gathering for the big drawing at 5:30 at the Public House. Everyone is encouraged to attend! We will be set up outside on the left side of the Courthouse, so we should generate good visibility for the Club.

Mayor Turner will do the drawings - four cash prizes of $500 each and then the big one. Several people have told me they have the winning ticket, so I am eager to see who is right.

District Updates
Last week was a big week for District work and our club (or at least for Marlene and Mimi) -

At the Assistant Governors meeting it was decided that Marlene will continue to be AG for Algonquin, Huntley, and Richmond/Spring Grove while Mimi will continue with NW Supper Club, drop Antioch and add CL Dawnbreakers and McHenry Area.  Our plans to infiltrate the clubs of McHenry County continue on pace.

Marlene and Mimi also attended the District Conference last weekend. Mimi was "in charge of the food art and Pasta Jenga. Although Mimi reported her team could not get the Jenga tower to stand and her food art entry did not win - she brought back bins of food for the Woodstock and Wonder Lake food pantries.

Thank you Marlene and Mimi for representing our club so well.

Adult Vocational Scholarship
The Rotary Club of Woodstock is pleased to announce they are accepting applications for a vocational scholarship geared to adult learners who are preparing for a career that requires less than a four year degree – this could be an Associate’s Degree or a certificate.

“We are excited to be able to extend critical financial support to adult members of our community who are trying to develop new skills or move into new careers” said Peter Knapp, Vocational Services Director for the ROTARY Club of Woodstock.  “Previously, a scholarship award was given to a community member who attended MAT Kosovo School in Gozo, Malta, for Humanitarian Mine Action, De-Mining and Small Arms Management.  Now, we are again ready for applicants.”

To be eligible, the recipient must live within the boundaries of Woodstock School District 200, be 25 years of age or older and be enrolled in a vocational degree or certificate program at an accredited institution.
