Make-Up Online

Rotary eClub One
How To Complete A Make-Up

1

Read a variety of current articles in our Programs section and/or choose articles from our Archived Programs list and/or information from our Avenues of Service pages. You will be required to answer questions.  There is space on the makeup request form for up to three articles to be reviewed, however you will need to read more than three to meet your 30 minute visit obligation.

2

At the end of your 30 minute visit click on Make-up Request Form from the drop-down menu at top of page OR the bottom of each make-up program.

3

Read Makeup Request Form carefully, and follow instructions. A Make-Up Form will appear once you press the SUBMIT button (one time only) and an email copy will be sent to the email address you provided.

PRINT YOUR MAKE-UP FORM

Once your make-up appears, if you know the email address, you can also click on File, Send and email a copy to your club secretary.

Commentary
I’m not an expert in English language, however I have noticed a change in conversational use of the word “LIKE”.  Google “like” and it means “similar to” or “used to draw attention to the nature of an action”.  So why does it need to appear at the beginning, in the middle, and at the tail at the end of a sentence.  It seems to me we got along without having to call special attention to our statement without using “like” multiple times.  The next time you converse with someone, take notice of how many times “like” is used.  The other interesting thing is that when we write something or type message, we don’ use “like”.

Two other changes I have noticed, the use of the word “thankyou”.  Now it has become “thankyou so very much”.  And the response used to be “you are welcome”.  Now it is “of course”.  Just an observation on the change in our daily language usage.

Nature report:  First Red wing Blackbird spotted this week. The Eagles are tending their nest getting ready to start sitting on eggs.  The birds are starting to fight over bird houses.  And, the daffodils and tulips are poking through the ground.  Sand Hill Cranes flying north are the first audible signs of Spring, and I heard them for the first time this week.  All good signs that Spring is coming.

We meet at the CC this week.  This is also first Friday Social to be held at the Off Sides Sports Grill on Eastwood Drive at 5:30. $500 Jeep ticket drawing.
