How To Complete A Make-Up

1

Read a variety of current articles in our Programs section and/or choose articles from our Archived Programs list and/or information from our Avenues of Service pages. You will be required to answer questions.  There is space on the makeup request form for up to three articles to be reviewed, however you will need to read more than three to meet your 30 minute visit obligation.

2

At the end of your 30 minute visit click on Make-up Request Form from the drop-down menu at top of page OR the bottom of each make-up program.

3

Read Makeup Request Form carefully, and follow instructions. A Make-Up Form will appear once you press the SUBMIT button (one time only) and an email copy will be sent to the email address you provided.

PRINT YOUR MAKE-UP FORM

Once your make-up appears, if you know the email address, you can also click on File, Send and email a copy to your club secretary.

Stories
An Adult Fairy Tale
I decided that with all of the turmoil in our country today that our club members needed something simple like a nice fairy tale with a happy ending.
Once upon a time there lived a King who had the most beautiful daughter. But there was a problem. Everything the princess touched would melt.
Because of this mean were were afraid of her. Nobody would dare marry her. The King despaired. What could he do to help his daughter? He consulted his wizards and magicians. One wizard told the King, “If your daughter touches one thing that does not melt in her hands, she will be cured.” The King was overjoyed and came up with a plan.the next day he held a competition. Any man who could bring his daughter an object that would not melt in her hands would be able to marry her and inherit the King’s wealth.
THREE YOUNG PRINCES TOOK UP THE CHALLENGE.
The first brought a sword of the finest steel. But alas, when the Princess touched it, it melted. The prince went away sadly.
The second prince brought diamonds. He thought diamonds ar the hardest substance in the world and would not melt. But alas, once the Princess touched them, they melted. He too went away disappointed.
Third prince approached. He told the Princess, “Put your hand in my pocket and feel what is in there.” The Princess did as she was asked, though she turned red. She felt something very hard. She held it in her hand. And it did not melt!!!
The King was overjoyed.  Everyone in the kingdom was overjoyed. And the Prince married the Princess and they both lived happily ever after.

QUESTION:  WHAT WAS IN THE PRINCE’S PANTS????

The answer is:     M & M’s. Of course they melt in your mouth not in your hand.  What were you thinking??????
Message from Tom "The Wrangler" McGrath
We have sold 636, 364 to go...

A big thank you to Dave Byrnes & Pete Michling for manning the 1st shift at Shamrocked on Saturday.  They sold three on the spot!  Tom and Jill Nierman took the second shift and also sold three!  Tom and Debi McGrath sold two, during the third shift!  Yep, "pickle boat" for the McGraths.

All three shifts handed out a ton of flyers, and sales from that effort are why we have sold another 12 over the last two days.

Generally, the sales from flyers continue over the course of two weeks,  which is why we need your help as we continue to market the Jeep Raffle.  There are five slots still open for St. Paddy's day at Niko's.  Thank you to Laurie Lewandowski for signing up for the 1st shift from 4:00 - 6:00.  We still need two more Rotarians to help Laurie.  We also need three, from 6:00 - 8:00.

Believe it or not, it's actually kinda fun!  The most important part is handing the folks a flyer.  If you're nervous, we'll train you.  You simply ask people, "Would you like to win a Jeep?" That usually gets their attention.  Then you tell them the odds of winning something are 9 out of 1,000 and the $500 winners get thrown back into the drum.  Not everybody has $100 bills on them like Ron Jarvis, but that's when you hand them the flyer so they can buy on-line later.

Best,
Tom M.
Recycle Electronics Event
Our event at the Dorr Township Highway building has been postponed until April.  Ample time is needed to recruit the club volunteers to assist with the various needs.  Chairperson Chris Cantwell, will be reaching out to each and everyone to help with this worthwhile community event.  These events are generally very well attended so lots of help will be needed.

Stay tuned for the details and opportunity to serve!
