Make-Up Online

Rotary eClub One
How To Complete A Make-Up

1

Read a variety of current articles in our Programs section and/or choose articles from our Archived Programs list and/or information from our Avenues of Service pages. You will be required to answer questions.  There is space on the makeup request form for up to three articles to be reviewed, however you will need to read more than three to meet your 30 minute visit obligation.

2

At the end of your 30 minute visit click on Make-up Request Form from the drop-down menu at top of page OR the bottom of each make-up program.

3

Read Makeup Request Form carefully, and follow instructions. A Make-Up Form will appear once you press the SUBMIT button (one time only) and an email copy will be sent to the email address you provided.

PRINT YOUR MAKE-UP FORM

Once your make-up appears, if you know the email address, you can also click on File, Send and email a copy to your club secretary.

Remember, as Greeter this week, you need to arrive at Woodstock Country Club to register visiting Rotarians, and guests (collect gust lunch fee of $18.00). You also provide the pre-meal prayer, check attendance, announce guests and visiting Rotarians, manage the marble drawing and provide "Fun & Frolics." If you are unable to fulfill your greeter obligation, please contact the next person in the greeter rotation to take your place.

2024 Jeep Raffle Information
187 tickets left!

We are ALMOST THERE, so please keep selling and helping with as much as you can!

The next drawing is this Friday, April 5 - at Sofie's, which happens to be our next First Friday. Coincidence? I think not! So....sell some....buy some....grab some friends and show up to Sofie's for some fellowship, some food and beverages and a chance at $500.

After that - the next drawing is the final one - where the bulletin writer will be winning a brand new jeep!

What a week for Dylan
A couple weeks ago, Garrett shared that Dylan and Antioch Pizza were in the Final Four for WGN's Chicago Pizza Madness Championship. Then they made it to the Finals. And then just yesterday they won! You can listen to the announcement here - https://wgnradio.com/chicagos-very-own-eats/the-2024-chicago-pizza-madness-champion-is/

And then tomorrow Dylan is being inducted into the finest Rotary Club around.

He should buy a lottery ticket. The Powerball is $1.2B with the take home payout (as calculated by www.powerball.net of $852,600,000. Not bad for a week.
Bring out Your Metal
So I had this idea in my head to riff off of the Monty Python skit "Bring our Your Dead" and replace the word Dead with Metal in a meme. However, this is one of those many occasions, where my ideas, technical expertise and available time are at odds with one another. So I will leave it to this.

Alter Metals - operated so skillfully by our very own Shawna - is hosting a month-long fundraiser for Rotary - specifically to help fund Fueling Futures. So bring out your metal, take it to Alter, tell them it's for Rotary and they will match the value of the metal. The flyer is below.

But for those of you who understood or who want to understand - here is a clip of the skit - https://youtu.be/W4rR-OsTNCg

Guatemala Literacy Project
A couple weeks ago Phil and the Club received the thank you letter below for our latest support of the Guatemala Literacy Project.

Dear Phil and the Rotary Club of Woodstock, IL,

Thank you very much for the Rotary Club of Woodstock, IL's generous contribution to Guatemala Literacy Project Global Grant #2351451 of the 2023-2024 Rotary Year. Your generosity will make possible a better education and a brighter future for many schoolchildren in impoverished Guatemalan communities. Because these programs are self-sustaining, your gift will keep on giving year after year as new students are helped each and every year in perpetuity. And pending approval by The Rotary Foundation, your club’s contribution will be multiplied up to 2.8 times by the Foundation on this Global Grant.

After the project inaugurations in February of 2024, your club will receive a full report, including thank you letters from some of the students that you have helped.

We look forward to keeping you and your club informed about the projects after our deliveries next February. Thanks again for all your support!

Sincerely,

Jessica
