Last week we were pleased to install our new board for the coming Rotary year 2022-2023. Unfortunately, our newly elected (and in absentia) president, Dave Byrnes, excused himself by testing positive for COVID-19. We wish Dave a huge measure of wellness moving forward. Nevertheless, we voted “positive” for the new board of directors… including Dave. We also took the opportunity to never take for granted that there will be plenty of food for all present. Some of our Rotary family decided to postpone their evening meal when the food truck eventually crossed off FOOD from their menu. “Food” is an interesting word in that it can be both singular as well as plural in form. In this case, it was both—moving from the plural to singular and then foodless. But in the true spirit of Rotary, we had a most pleasant time on a beautiful evening of al fresco conversation. |
