Riko: My grand daughters 4-H Club is doing a unit on Japan---its people, its food, its commerce, and its daily life. So I suggested that we had an expert on Japan right here in Woodstock, Riko. It was a perfect situation for Riko to visit the club meeting and make a presentation about her home country. The kids were shy at first, but Riko won them over rapidly. She did a wonderful job explaining about life in her country and shared her daily routine during school days and on weekends. They soon discovered their school routine is pretty soft compared to Rikos. The kids asked great questions and she eagerly answered. What a wonderful example of our Rotary Exchange Program. Club concerns: Please keep Pastor Tom and John Buckley and his family in your thoughts and prayers. There will be many tough days ahead and our support will be needed. Spring: In spite of Woodstock Willy, Spring is coming soon. Spotted Blue Birds and Redwing Blackbirds this week. The days are definitely getting longer and the sun higher in the sky. The tulips and daffodils will be popping soon. Don't quit on the bird feeders. The migrating birds might stop for a bite and their way north. Get out side and go for a walk.
