How To Complete A Make-Up

1

Read a variety of current articles in our Programs section and/or choose articles from our Archived Programs list and/or information from our Avenues of Service pages. You will be required to answer questions.  There is space on the makeup request form for up to three articles to be reviewed, however you will need to read more than three to meet your 30 minute visit obligation.

2

At the end of your 30 minute visit click on Make-up Request Form from the drop-down menu at top of page OR the bottom of each make-up program.

3

Read Makeup Request Form carefully, and follow instructions. A Make-Up Form will appear once you press the SUBMIT button (one time only) and an email copy will be sent to the email address you provided.

PRINT YOUR MAKE-UP FORM

Once your make-up appears, if you know the email address, you can also click on File, Send and email a copy to your club secretary.

Remember, as Greeter this week, you need to arrive early at Oliver's to register visiting Rotarians and guests (collect guest lunch fee of $16.00). You also provide the pre-meal prayer, check attendance, announce guests and visiting Rotarians, manage the marble drawing and provide "Fun & Frolics." If you are unable to fulfill your greeter obligation, please contact the next person in the greeter rotation to take your place.

Club Happenings
I've left in the CCH material as the dates are important to remember.  And of course, the Golf Outing is on for Friday afternoon.  Sun shine Johnny did a masterful job with the weather on Saturday, but the forecast for Friday may have him slipping into old habits.

As a follow up to Saturday's Ale Fest, it was nice to see fellow Rotarians supporting the cause. I think one of the unique attributes of our club members is that we support the projects of other club members.  This trait also advertises our Rotary Club and supports the community.  Go Rotary!

At the CCH planning meeting, there was much discussion about including the public in the packing of the toy bags.  There have been inquiries from the public as to when the toy packing will happen. It is a part of the project that families with kids enjoy helping with.  At our present location, logistically, there is not enough room for the public to be in the building when the filled toy bags are positioned on the floor.  One thought was to collect the toys in another location where they could be sorted and placed in appropriate bags.  But then they would have to be transported to the warehouse for delivery day.  This creates another problem requiring transport of the toys.  Another step in the process.  Share your ideas with committee members as to any ideas as to how to allow the public to take a more hands on position in the process.  Just throwing it out-there Tom.

Keep checking the up-coming events list on the left side of the bulletin for upcoming meetings.
We have had a wonderful week of weather for walking in the outdoors, but reality is about to set in this weekend.  Cooler temperatures mean some yard things need to be finished up.  Bring in the Hummingbird feeders before they freeze and burst.  Get the heater out for the bird bath.  Clean out the bird feeders while the weather is tolerable and lay in a supply of appropriate bird seed. Don't forget to get some suet blocks for the Woodpeckers.  They have to eat too.  And if you have an indoor fireplace, get a supply of wood to burn on the chilly nights.  Nothing like a warm fireplace to put one to sleep in the big soft chair.

And finally, to all the Wisconsin fans, Go ILLINI.  It's been so long I couldn't resist.
