How To Complete A Make-Up

1

Read a variety of current articles in our Programs section and/or choose articles from our Archived Programs list and/or information from our Avenues of Service pages. You will be required to answer questions.  There is space on the makeup request form for up to three articles to be reviewed, however you will need to read more than three to meet your 30 minute visit obligation.

2

At the end of your 30 minute visit click on Make-up Request Form from the drop-down menu at top of page OR the bottom of each make-up program.

3

Read Makeup Request Form carefully, and follow instructions. A Make-Up Form will appear once you press the SUBMIT button (one time only) and an email copy will be sent to the email address you provided.

PRINT YOUR MAKE-UP FORM

Once your make-up appears, if you know the email address, you can also click on File, Send and email a copy to your club secretary.

Remember, as Greeter this week, you need to arrive at Woodstock Country Club, to register visiting Rotarians, and guests (collect guest lunch fee of $20.00).  You also provide the pre-meal prayer, check attendance, announce guests and visiting Rotarians, manage the marble drawing and provide "Fun & Frolics."  If you are unable to fulfill your greeter obligation, please contact the next person in the greeter rotation to take your place.

Stories
CCH Food Box packing
The CCH food box packing event at American Ad Bag was an efficient success!  Many students from the high school were in attendance along with community members, Rotarians and former teachers.  One notable person in attendance was a former recipient of CCH.  Lynn Fiala and I were standing behind her in the line and while we were waiting our turn to pack boxes, we struck up a conversation with her.  We were curious as this former recipient was very nicely dressed, wearing a crown and a sash that said she was Miss Northern Suburbs.  We found out that she came with her 8th grade class to pack toy bags when a classmate held up a bag and said “Annie, here is your bag”.  8th grader!!!
Annie went on to say that she won Miss Woodstock 2016 (I was able to verify this online) and then went on to win Miss McHenry County 2017.  She has won several regional contests and this will be her final attempt at trying to win Miss Illinois.  She told us that 28 years old is the cut off.  She made time to attend and help out.  Forgot to ask her how she found out...

CCH D DAY
We began loading vehicles at 8:20 am and loaded out the last vehicle at 10:45 am.  Very smooth process and no one got run over!  Tom N only yelled 5 times...an hour!  Not really, Tom was the most calm I have seen on D Day.  The word I heard was returns were at an all time low of 18.  We appreciate the Moose's donation of breakfast sandwiches, coffee and CREAM.  A few mini donuts made their way on to the food table as well. The Moose was most gracious and VERY busy Saturday afternoon as the club supported them by ordering post CCH lunch and drinks.

BIG thank you to all the leaders of CCH and workers.  1326 families served.

Calendar year end news!
Here we go…we are meeting at Woodstock Country Club this Friday and as of this writing. we have a program in store for the club.  This is also the week we tip the wait staff at the club who have been efficiently and professionally serving our meals each week.  Bring CASH!!!
On Friday December 27 is our Rotary Lunch social!  At Woodstock Country Club.  Bring your favorite person to join in the fun.  Ooooh, is something special planned?  Yes, the bar will be available.  You pay for your own drinks.  And you pay for your guest’s drinks & meal.  Just like at the Moose.  Purely social and relaxed.  Get there on time and stay awhile.  The more in attendance = more fun!!!
