Make-Up Online

Rotary eClub One
How To Complete A Make-Up

1

Read a variety of current articles in our Programs section and/or choose articles from our Archived Programs list and/or information from our Avenues of Service pages. You will be required to answer questions.  There is space on the makeup request form for up to three articles to be reviewed, however you will need to read more than three to meet your 30 minute visit obligation.

2

At the end of your 30 minute visit click on Make-up Request Form from the drop-down menu at top of page OR the bottom of each make-up program.

3

Read Makeup Request Form carefully, and follow instructions. A Make-Up Form will appear once you press the SUBMIT button (one time only) and an email copy will be sent to the email address you provided.

PRINT YOUR MAKE-UP FORM

Once your make-up appears, if you know the email address, you can also click on File, Send and email a copy to your club secretary.

Remember, as Greeter this week, you need to arrive early at Oliver's to register visiting Rotarians and guests (collect guest lunch fee of $16.00). You also provide the pre-meal prayer, check attendance, announce guests and visiting Rotarians, manage the marble drawing and provide "Fun & Frolics." If you are unable to fulfill your greeter obligation, please contact the next person in the greeter rotation to take your place.

Stories
Rotary Foundation Dinner
At last week's meeting, Dave showed off the two banners that our club received at the Rotary Foundation Dinner. We are an Every Year, Every Rotarian club and our per capita giving is at least $100. Denise is missing from the picture and Natalie is not quite blocking me out. And take a look at Marlene's eyes.

Early on in the evening, Marlene challenged the District Photarian Paul Keenan to get a picture with her eyes open. And what a challenge it was! The following is what Paul posted on the District's page.

Here is Marlene with Father Jim Swarthout and Angela Walker, District Membership Chair

Marlene with District Governor Elect Mark Bak

Marlene leading us in the Pledge of Allegiance. Perhaps her eyes are closed on purpose as she is caught up in the moment.

A few shots of our table. We had the largest representation of any club in the District and clearly we were the most fun. We even adopted a Dawnbreaker. Wyatt Lindell. As an aside Wyatt is from Woodstock and clearly sees the value of noon meetings versus 6:15 am meetings. Mimi jumped in as the Dawnbreakers Assistant Governor to support Wyatt as he was the only one from their club to attend. I'm sure Wyatt also sees the value of being in a club that does things as a club.

And then - success!

Paul did manage one - with Marlene looking away. So challenge accepted and half achieved.

Dueling Pianos at Offsides to benefit CCH

Offsides will be sponsoring this benefit concert at their restaurant on Nov. 12th  7:30 to 10:30 pm.  Tables are sold out! But there is always room for more. Offsides is asking for a $5 donation for the standing room only spots. So you can still grab your friends and make a night of it.
50%  Batting average?  Attendance?  Not paid?  Public Service Announcement!

The story continues -

I checked with Roscoe and the Club has $6,127.84 (Roscoe is very specific) in outstanding dues - which means we have cut that number by a third since Luke wrote his article for the bulletin, but we still have a ways to go. (In complete transparency, I apparently still owe - as I got a reminder over the weekend.)

Let's get those dues paid! We want the blue to go up and the orange line to do down.

Luke started this conversation in last week's bulletin, so I thought I would continue and update the article. Roscoe sent out the next quarterly invoice on Saturday, October 22nd, with an email subject listed as Invoice: First Quarter 2023 Billing. This is not an advance payment but for the July - September 2022 period as the Rotary year is from July 1 to July 1

As of this writing 10 of the 40 have already paid! Congratulations and thank you!

If you haven't made a payment recently or don't recall seeing an invoice, please contact Roscoe and he can have ClubRunner send you a statement. The total outstanding amount for our club members is over $9,000.

One of this year's themes for Rotary is "inclusion":  Some of you will notice that this announcement is once more being "included."  Hint! Hint!surprise

You can click on the link below to sign up. In addition to blood, we are collecting books for our book distributions.

At our Blood Drive this year, we will be collecting new or gently used Children's Books. (Toddler through Grade 6) These are for book distribution for Woodstock Rotary Christmas Clearing House and the monthly Food Truck (NIFB) distribution.

The need for blood is constant and only volunteer donors can fulfill that need for patients in our community. Nationwide, someone needs a unit of blood every 2 to 3 seconds and most of us will need blood in our lifetime.

A message from Laura, our CCH Chair -

"We are making progress across all areas of CCH. Stay tuned for weekly updates at the Club meetings starting this Friday. I ask everyone to keep an open mind and pitch in where they can."
