So let's break that number down - 178 tickets is $17,800 for the Club's activities. We are projected to net $43,000 from the Jeep Raffle. Right now, we have $25,200 to apply to the community next year. So what do you want to cut? - Do we cut Blessings in a Backpack in half?
- Maybe eliminate local grants next year?
- Do we skip a year of Service Above Scholarships - or scale back to just one scholarship to one senior?
- No RYLA next spring?
- How about no coats, hats or gloves through Operation Warm?
- Certainly, we have no opportunity to respond to any new needs that pop up.
And it's not just one of those items - we will need to cut more than one. Based on this year's budget - RYLA and local grants and one scholarship. Or cut Blessings in half, eliminate all scholarships and Operation Warm Or let's turn this around and be positive about our success - what do we want to do with every $100 we get - feed and clothe families, develop and support high school leaders, bring the world to Woodstock through Youth Exchange, take Woodstock to the world through our international projects, launch high school seniors towards college and career. You can volunteer at the Farmer's Market - Saturdays and Tuesdays (Denise, Barb, Dave and I did the rainy day already;) repost our Facebook and Instagram posts to your social networks; talk to friends and family.
