How To Complete A Make-Up

1

Read a variety of current articles in our Programs section and/or choose articles from our Archived Programs list and/or information from our Avenues of Service pages. You will be required to answer questions.  There is space on the makeup request form for up to three articles to be reviewed, however you will need to read more than three to meet your 30 minute visit obligation.

2

At the end of your 30 minute visit click on Make-up Request Form from the drop-down menu at top of page OR the bottom of each make-up program.

3

Read Makeup Request Form carefully, and follow instructions. A Make-Up Form will appear once you press the SUBMIT button (one time only) and an email copy will be sent to the email address you provided.

PRINT YOUR MAKE-UP FORM

Once your make-up appears, if you know the email address, you can also click on File, Send and email a copy to your club secretary.

Stories
Interact
The Rotary Interact Club is excited to be starting another fun and exciting new year at Creekside Middle School in District 200.  The club is planning a great year full of service activities and great volunteer opportunities.  We will have a great mix of new members and returning members this year and hope to have the largest club to date at Creekside.  Preparing for and assiting with Christmas Clearing House is the most amazing time of the year for our club, but we start with activities for all members to get to know each other.  We will keep you updated throughout the year on our great adventure.  Thank you again for Rotary for supporting our club!
Riko
Our Rotary Exchange Student this year is  Riko Fugita.  Riko is attending Woodstock High School and her first host family is the Gilmore Family.  Be sure to come to meet and greet Riko.

Governor Gibson's Visit
Last Friday, District Governor Suzanne Gibson visited first with our Board and then with the Club. This year's Rotary International theme is Rotary Connects the World and District Governor Gibson shared her vision of how our District, Clubs and Rotarians can implement that theme.
Per the District Governor, studies show that social connections are good for our health - that means that Rotary is good for our health. Rotary connects resources to the people who need them and connections with purpose create satisfaction. District Governor Gibson's top priority for her year is to increase the connections between the clubs.

These connections have been part of Rotary since the beginning and have been part of changing the world. In 1942, Rotary clubs from 21 nations organized a conference in London to develop a vision for advancing education, science and culture after World War II. This meeting led the international dialogues on reconstructing education around the world once WWII was over, and served as a precursor to UNESCO and the Rotary Ambassadors.

In keeping with this year's theme, 2019-20 Rotary International President Mark Daniel Maloney is convening five presidential conferences at key United Nations offices around the world. Join Rotary leaders, International officials, friends, and guests as we celebrate our longstanding relationship with the UN and commemorate the organization’s 75th anniversary.

The following events are open to all.

9 November 2019 – Rotary Day at the United Nations, New York, USA (tentative)

28 February 2020 – Rotary Day at the UN Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean, Santiago, Chile

28 March 2020 – Rotary Day at UNESCO, Paris, France

7-8 May 2020 – Rotary Day at the Food and Agriculture Organization, Rome, Italy

5 June 2020 – Rotary/United Nations Celebration, Honolulu, Hawaii, USA

Lastly, District Governor Gibson talked about using connections to grow our membership - promoting the new and different forms of membership and reviewing the classifications to identify gaps and target recruitment. We can create more connections, more purpose and more satisfaction.
