Rotary eClub One
How To Complete A Make-Up

1

Read a variety of current articles in our Programs section and/or choose articles from our Archived Programs list and/or information from our Avenues of Service pages. You will be required to answer questions.  There is space on the makeup request form for up to three articles to be reviewed, however you will need to read more than three to meet your 30 minute visit obligation.

2

At the end of your 30 minute visit click on Make-up Request Form from the drop-down menu at top of page OR the bottom of each make-up program.

3

Read Makeup Request Form carefully, and follow instructions. A Make-Up Form will appear once you press the SUBMIT button (one time only) and an email copy will be sent to the email address you provided.

PRINT YOUR MAKE-UP FORM

Once your make-up appears, if you know the email address, you can also click on File, Send and email a copy to your club secretary.

Remember, as Greeter this week, you need to arrive early to ZOOM members, visiting Rotarians, and guests (collect guest lunch fee of $15.00).  You also provide the pre-meal prayer, check attendance, announce guests and visiting Rotarians, manage the marble drawing and provide "Fun & Frolics."  If you are unable to fulfill your greeter obligation, please contact the next person in the greeter rotation to take your place.

Stories
President fires Greeter!
COVID-19 greeter that is.  Word was he was too frolickly and not very funny.

Ba dum.  Hey who reads these bulletins anyway.  If there has been higher (thorough) readership in the last 10 weeks during our Shelter in Place time frame we may have had… (see if this generates any interest in the bulletin).
New Rotary Fundraiser
Special thanks to Chairman Tom McGrath and his Noodlers team members: Tim Benoy, Tom Nierman, Al Schmitt, Ann Hughes.  Tune in to ZOOM to keep up with the latest...after you read the bulletin.
ZOOM Meetings continue.
Speaking of reading the bulletin; who read the 8 people we become while on ZOOM?  Ok, another test.  Answer the questions and return to me.

Who in our club is:

1. The Unmuted Multitasker

2. The Microphone Misunderstander

3. The Manicured Tableau

4. The Tony Reali

5. The Confused Parent

6. The Cross-Talk Screamer

7. The Background World Traveler

8. The Dog’s Costar

I could have put a bullet point underneath each title to assist you; BUT YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO READ THE BULLETIN.  Some of us are WFH.  Some of us are retired.  You have time.  Otherwise the bulletin will morph into a short email with the greeter and program for the upcoming 3 weeks.  OK, I’ll give the link again:  https://www.theringer.com/2020/4/1/21201409/eight-types-people-zoom-video-calls-social-distancing
Rotary Lunch Rotation
BIG thank you to Laura for organizing the rotating support your local restaurant.  Like she needs a third job.  Kudos!  Laura indicates that the majority of those attending the ZOOM meeting two weeks ago ordered from Cesaroni’s. Antioch Pizza was happy and invited us to dine in as a group when allowed.

Reflections on ten (10) weeks of WFH

Miss the daily staff interaction.  Yup, all three of them…

Miss the clients (we have more than three…)

Miss Rotary meetings in person and seeing all of you.  ALL of you.

Will we continue Fun & Frolics with the use of cash?

Will this be the final push to a cashless society?

Will this be the end of carpeting?

Will one-way aisles in grocery stores continue? (hope so)

Will social distancing put all checkout lanes at the store in use AT THE SAME TIME? (when was the last time you saw ALL checkout lanes in use at the same time?)

Will there be an increase in sidewalks and bike paths? (hope so)

Will the population increase in the country and suburbs and decrease in the metro areas?

Will this bulletin ever end…?
