How To Complete A Make-Up

1

Read a variety of current articles in our Programs section and/or choose articles from our Archived Programs list and/or information from our Avenues of Service pages. You will be required to answer questions.  There is space on the makeup request form for up to three articles to be reviewed, however you will need to read more than three to meet your 30 minute visit obligation.

2

At the end of your 30 minute visit click on Make-up Request Form from the drop-down menu at top of page OR the bottom of each make-up program.

3

Read Makeup Request Form carefully, and follow instructions. A Make-Up Form will appear once you press the SUBMIT button (one time only) and an email copy will be sent to the email address you provided.

PRINT YOUR MAKE-UP FORM

Once your make-up appears, if you know the email address, you can also click on File, Send and email a copy to your club secretary.

Remember, as Greeter this week, you need to arrive at Woodstock Country Club early to greet members, visiting Rotarians, and guests (collect guest lunch fee of $14.00).  You also provide the pre-meal prayer, check attendance, announce guests and visiting Rotarians, manage the marble drawing and provide "Fun & Frolics."  If you are unable to fulfill your greeter obligation, please contact the next person in the greeter rotation to take your place.

Stories
It's Fair Week!
I am looking forward to what is becoming our annual visit to the McHenry County Fair.  The grandstands look great from Country Club Road and I like the new large American Flag.  Also looking forward to eating steak sandwiches from the Cattleman’s association, pork sandwiches from the Pork producers and Corn Dogs!  Followed by elephant ears, cotton candy and washed down with a lemonade shake.  Tractor pulls are on Friday this year, so I’m heading over there to breath in some diesel fumes and watch the dirt fly.  Will also visit the swine barn and look at all the fine examples of ham, pork chops, bacon, pork belly, ribs and trotters.  Yummmm!

Laura has sent out the instructions for tomorrow's meeting.  Where to meet, who to greet and where to go.  If you don't read this hopefully you read that.  Ok, Ok!  I'll repeat it:
Our meeting this week will be at the McHenry County Fair!

Plan a little extra time.  Parking and getting to our meeting site may take a few extra minutes. Consider staying after to check out the exhibitors and what they've worked on all year.

Enjoy the new paved paths that help with dust and make the fairgrounds more accessible for those with mobility difficulties or wheelchairs and strollers.

DIRECTIONS:
  • Come in through the Main Entrance.
  • Park in Free Public Parking.
  • Meet this week's Greeter Mike Iwanicki at the #2 entrance gate to sign in and get your ticket. He'll direct you to the meeting location.
*Be sure to get your hand stamped in order to return this evening for our 1st Friday Social.

Thank you for all that you do and for supporting our McHenry County Fair.  And thank you Laura for organizing this event for our club!
Christmas in July 5K
Another Christmas in July in the books.  Plenty of volunteers, so many in fact I was demoted from my position, or should I say replaced with a high tech person who had radio contact!  I found anther spot to be in the way, I mean of assistance.  Well done Wendy!  Thanks to all who ran and volunteered.  As evidenced by the photo, Santa was in his happy place.
