How To Complete A Make-Up

1

Read a variety of current articles in our Programs section and/or choose articles from our Archived Programs list and/or information from our Avenues of Service pages. You will be required to answer questions.  There is space on the makeup request form for up to three articles to be reviewed, however you will need to read more than three to meet your 30 minute visit obligation.

2

At the end of your 30 minute visit click on Make-up Request Form from the drop-down menu at top of page OR the bottom of each make-up program.

3

Read Makeup Request Form carefully, and follow instructions. A Make-Up Form will appear once you press the SUBMIT button (one time only) and an email copy will be sent to the email address you provided.

PRINT YOUR MAKE-UP FORM

Once your make-up appears, if you know the email address, you can also click on File, Send and email a copy to your club secretary.

Upcoming Field Trips
If variety is the spice of life, then we should enjoy a different venue for lunch. Mark your calendars and remember we will not be meeting at Oliver's on the dates below.
  • April 15th we'll be at Your Sister's Tomato
  • April 22 we'll be at Napoli's Pizza

On this day
If you are reading this today (Thursday, April 14) then On This Day in History

In 1865, Abraham Lincoln  was mortally wounded by John Wilkes Booth

In 1912, the Titanic struck an iceberg (as a tangent, there is speculation that a coal fire in the hold of the Titanic weakened the hull, and was ultimately the cause of the rapid sinking.)

In 1935, the “Black Sunday” dust storm descended upon the central Plains, turning a sunny afternoon into total darkness.

In 1986, the heaviest recorded hailstones (2.2 lbs) fell on Bangladesh killing 92 people

I wish you a better April 14.

District 6440 Conference is Next Month
The District 6440 Conference is next month—practically in our backyard. Think about joining

Literacy Committee
Each month the literacy committee purchases children's books from the Environmental Defenders to offer families who come to the Food Truck at St. Ann's church in Woodstock. The need has increased, helping over 190 families the last time. The books we buy each month only allows us to offer them to 40-50 families.

We give out books to children from toddler to tween. Do you have books your children or grandchildren are no longer interested in? Donate them to us by bringing them to our Rotary meetings throughout the month of April. Jean and Lynn will collect them each week.

UPDATE: 2022 Rotary Jeep Raffle
We have no time to slow down! Help support the committee who works so hard on our behalf! Final Grand Prize Drawing takes place on the evening of Friday, May 27 at Public House. To date, we have approximately 280 tickets still to be sold.

As we learned in the dynamic presentation a couple weeks ago - The Woodstock Rotary Foundation is why we are Rotarians. The grants we make to local nonprofits, the coats in Operation Warm, Blessings in a Backpack, youth exchange, international grants are all funded through the money raised by the Jeep Raffle.

Tickets can be purchased at https://woodstockrotarycharities.com/ or by clicking on the Jeep image above. And don't forget: please engage with our posts on social media!
