Jeep Raffle sales are still ongoing with around 200 tickets left. Sell-Sell- Sell. The next drawing will be held at our First Friday Social to be located at Sofie's, which is in the old Ace Hardware. That will be for $500. John has informed me that the installation dinner will be held on June 28th. The time and place to announced later. Since I have so much time to read now, I am just full of interesting info. Here are some astrological amazing facts. Betelgeuse, a giant star in the Orion constellation, is 1.3 billion kilometers wide. Which means if placed in our solar system, it would fill all of the space out to the orbit of Jupiter. On a clear night, with good vision, 4,500 stars are visible. The Milky Way, which is the galaxy we call home, contains 400 billion stars. And there are at least that many galaxies in the Universe making for a total of 160,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 stars in the universe. The gasses surrounding the surface of our sun are a toasty 5,500 C degrees. Stars burn hydrogen as a fuel source until they use up the hydrogen and then start to burn Helium which leaves a bi-product of Carbon and Oxygen. And then as the star shrinks and the pressure from the fusion reactions rises, the star eventually blows and scatters the elements into space. These elements eventually form planets like our own. Planets are born from exploding stars. |
