How To Complete A Make-Up

1

Read a variety of current articles in our Programs section and/or choose articles from our Archived Programs list and/or information from our Avenues of Service pages. You will be required to answer questions.  There is space on the makeup request form for up to three articles to be reviewed, however you will need to read more than three to meet your 30 minute visit obligation.

2

At the end of your 30 minute visit click on Make-up Request Form from the drop-down menu at top of page OR the bottom of each make-up program.

3

Read Makeup Request Form carefully, and follow instructions. A Make-Up Form will appear once you press the SUBMIT button (one time only) and an email copy will be sent to the email address you provided.

PRINT YOUR MAKE-UP FORM

Once your make-up appears, if you know the email address, you can also click on File, Send and email a copy to your club secretary.

Remember, as Greeter this week, you need to arrive at Woodstock Country Club early to greet members, visiting Rotarians, and guests (collect guest lunch fee of $15.00).  You also provide the pre-meal prayer, check attendance, announce guests and visiting Rotarians, manage the marble drawing and provide "Fun & Frolics."  If you are unable to fulfill your greeter obligation, please contact the next person in the greeter rotation to take your place.

7 Days to we start packing!

This is our largest project of the year and it takes the whole community to help make it happen.  Please spread the word to other groups and individuals of when and where the events are taking place.  Let people know they can go to the www.woodstockcares.com website to keep abreast of the happenings (or you can click on the Santa Claus to the left and it should open the website).

Warehouse Location:  1191 Lake Ave, Woodstock, IL (next door to Wal-Mart)

  • Toy Packing – 12/18 - starts at 6:00 pm and we go until we are done
  • Food Packing – 12/19 - starts at 6:00 pm and we go until we are done
  • Delivery Day – 12/21- starts at 8:30 am and we go until we are done
After we are wrapped up - we celebrate! Please be sure to include some time after the Moose to celebrate another successful year.

Riko
This past Saturday, Riko and her team mates won first place  in the Lake Zurich Invitational!

I think it's time for Riko to watch Footloose (the Kevin Bacon version - not the remake)

Rotary and Rotarians in the News
It has been quite a couple weeks for our Club in the news.

And on Jackie and Gene and the Club's Blessings in a Backpack Thanksgiving efforts - https://www.thewoodstockindependent.com/2019/12/they-spread-love-nutritiously/

And a photo of Santa from the Lighting (it wasn't sideways in the paper - blame the writer)

WHS Madrigals
The Woodstock High School Madrigals and Jazz Choir made the annual visit to the Club last Friday. There were great Rotary connections - Dave's son and Garret's nephew are members of the Madrigals.

And we can celebrate with them year round. We now have a recording of them signing My Country Tis of Thee that we can use to open our meetings on those rare days where we don't sound our best.
