How To Complete A Make-Up

1

Read a variety of current articles in our Programs section and/or choose articles from our Archived Programs list and/or information from our Avenues of Service pages. You will be required to answer questions.  There is space on the makeup request form for up to three articles to be reviewed, however you will need to read more than three to meet your 30 minute visit obligation.

2

At the end of your 30 minute visit click on Make-up Request Form from the drop-down menu at top of page OR the bottom of each make-up program.

3

Read Makeup Request Form carefully, and follow instructions. A Make-Up Form will appear once you press the SUBMIT button (one time only) and an email copy will be sent to the email address you provided.

PRINT YOUR MAKE-UP FORM

Once your make-up appears, if you know the email address, you can also click on File, Send and email a copy to your club secretary.

Remember, as Greeter this week, you need to arrive early to greet members, visiting Rotarians, and guests (collect guest lunch fee of $15.00).  You also provide the pre-meal prayer, check attendance, announce guests and visiting Rotarians, manage the marble drawing and provide "Fun & Frolics."  If you are unable to fulfill your greeter obligation, please contact the next person in the greeter rotation to take your place.

Stories
Up date on Cancer Patients
Both Tom Rogers and John Buckley were both both at the First Friday at the Pour House.  Tom was at the Mayo Clinic on Friday morning and started his treatments. He received injections into each side of his abdomin. They are designed to inhibit the amount of testosterone in his body which will help to slow the growth of the cancer cells. After about five treatments he will undergo surgery.
John Buckley’s son started his first course of chemo. The test showed that the cancer did not metastasize.  He will receive several about 5-7 courses of Chemo and then undergo surgery. He did have a reaction to the first Chemo treatment and had to be hospitalized but  is now doing well.  I am sure John and his wife will be going through some sleepless evenings as the chemo treatment progress.  Please keep both families in our prayers and offer any assistance that we can.
New Member Proposal
Breanne Pfrank Wicker has been proposed for membership by Jackie Speciale.  She is a counselor at Pivital Counseling.  If any one has any problems with this proposed member please contact Shawana Young by this Thursday. You should have all received a copy of the proposal in an earlier email.
Dinner Auction Report
Mimi Motroni will be addressing the club on information about our  dinner auction.  I also was informed by the sheriff’s department that to receive a liquor license we will need to have two personnel designated as security personnel. Unlike last year, this years security personnel are to be able to be distinguished from the other attendees at the event.  I said that we would have them wear Rotary Shirts with the Rotary emblem, but we might need to have something more noticeable such as a garment with security written on it. I am looking for volunteers and will keep the club posted as we move forward.  Call me at 815-403-5201 to volunteer.   Bill Schuberth
