How To Complete A Make-Up

1

Read a variety of current articles in our Programs section and/or choose articles from our Archived Programs list and/or information from our Avenues of Service pages. You will be required to answer questions.  There is space on the makeup request form for up to three articles to be reviewed, however you will need to read more than three to meet your 30 minute visit obligation.

2

At the end of your 30 minute visit click on Make-up Request Form from the drop-down menu at top of page OR the bottom of each make-up program.

3

Read Makeup Request Form carefully, and follow instructions. A Make-Up Form will appear once you press the SUBMIT button (one time only) and an email copy will be sent to the email address you provided.

PRINT YOUR MAKE-UP FORM

Once your make-up appears, if you know the email address, you can also click on File, Send and email a copy to your club secretary.

Remember, as Greeter this week, you need to arrive early to ZOOM members, visiting Rotarians, and guests (collect guest lunch fee of $15.00).  You also provide the pre-meal prayer, check attendance, announce guests and visiting Rotarians, manage the marble drawing and provide "Fun & Frolics."  If you are unable to fulfill your greeter obligation, please contact the next person in the greeter rotation to take your place.

Stories
Installation Meeting
The Installation Dinner will take place starting at 5:30 PM this Friday June 26 at Porkies at the outside seating area. Mimi will move up in the ranks to take over the leadership of our club. This will also be the first open live meeting for our club since early March.  If any one who is planning on attending has not contacted Mimi, please call her and let her know your intentions. The meeting will also be available thru Zoom for those members unable or unwilling to attend. There will be some sort of social distancing and I assume masks will be optional during socializing prior to dinner. If you would like to wear a mask during dinner please bring a camera as I think that we could have a lot of fun at our next meeting viewing the techniques of eating while wearing a mask.
Something to Think About
The last time I wrote the bulletin and added a story with this name I ruffled the feathers of some of our members. I thought that was good because it showed that some people actually read the bulletin. If every one felt the same about my story I would have been surprised and disappointed. It is good when people are moved to think about issues that are taking place in our Country.  The United States is a great country and I am sure it will survive and prosper once again. Our country has gone through other rough times and has come back even stronger every time. That’s because our country has an open election system that allows it citizens to make changes thru the electoral process. As long as the election system remains in tact and each citizen is allowed only one vote, the problems of our country will heal itself. It may not always work as fast as some may like, but it has proven itself to be quite effective. I can think of no other country that offers the promise to the average citizen that is willing to work. I believe the United States is still the land of promise for those people willing to strive for a better life.
Spinning Wheel
Events coming up we should be aware of:   Officer installation will be our end of the month meeting to be held at Porkies in the outside seating area weather permitting. Time to be announced, but it will be an early evening event. The meeting will also be available on Zoom.  Marlene will send out the Zoom meeting code to all members.  First Friday celebration will be at the Hugh and Marlene Frisbie's house.  Time to be announced.  Outside social distancing will be followed.  It you feel uncomfortable, wear a mask. Bring your own beverage of choice.  Alcohol will be allowed I am told.  No one will make fun of you for bringing alcohol or wearing a mask.  We would rather see you attend the event.  I believe we also have a Blood Drive coming up.  Mimi will bring us up to date at Friday's meeting.  Also review the list of items needed for donation that was sent out by e-mail and act accordingly.  These items can be brought to the officer installation meeting or to Frisbie's party.  If you have items to donate and won't be attending either meeting, call a fellow member to take them for you.  And for this Friday's meeting choose the local restaurant of your choice and patronize them by ordering out lunch from them.

Items of concern:  The Buckley family, Pastor Tom, Paul, and most recently, Ann Hughes.  Make a phone call.  It is also a good time to contact our fellow Rotarians that have not been attending via Zoom.  We need them to know we miss them and we how they are doing.
