District 6440 is gearing up for the much-anticipated Fall Training Event, and wants to ensure that the training sessions are tailored to meet our specific needs and interests. Wednesday, August 9: Free Taproom Trivia at Kishwaukee Brewing Company. Bring a team and compete, or just hang out and listen to some awesome trivia questions (play along in your own head). 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm. 

Thursday, August 10: $1 Trivia at Stage Left Cafe. The $1 admission fee gets you a trivia game consisting of 20 questions with a halftime and bonus round. Work by yourself or create a team and enjoy the challenge. There are snacks and a full bar at Stage Left Cafe. If you want to bring in dinner, you are welcome to do so. Thursday, August 10: Yappy Hour with Young at Heart, hosted at Kishwaukee Brewing Company; 5-7:00 p.m. “Come out & enjoy Yappy Hour. Relax with a cold one & mingle with the sweetest senior pups. See you on the patio!”

Thursday, August 10: Movie in the Park on the Square – FREE! The movie will begin as close to 8:30 PM as darkness will allow. The film being screened on August 10 is Big Hero 6. 

Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays in August (11th, 12th, (13th already sold out), 18th, 19th, 20th, 25th, 26th, 27th) at select times: For $23/person, enjoy “afternoon tea” and delicious treats at Casting Whimsy Tea Shop (203 N. Friday, August 11: The Great DuBois: Masters of Variety at Woodstock Opera House. Simply put…the most unique 2-person circus show you will ever see! It’s a show for all ages! Tickets are $25 - $30 and can be purchased in advance on the Opera House website. 

Friday, August 11: Crystal Lake Park District Movie in the Park presents Caddyshack. Tickets and information (including details on the costume contest) can be found here. 

Saturdays, August 12 and 19: Farmers Market on the Square; 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Saturday, August 12: Outdoor Dog Yoga hosted by Young at Heart; 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.; cost is $45 and a ticket is required. All information, including how to reserve your spot, is here. 

Sunday, August 13: Sunday Art in the Square; 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. While you enjoy listening to some amazing music, you will have the chance to browse and buy some beautiful art! The artists will have functional, sculptural work and so much more in between!

Tuesdays, August 15 and 22: Farmers Market on the Square; 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Saturday, August 19: Hot August Night Benefit Car Show on the Woodstock Square; 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Registration is $20 per vehicle at the gate and as always spectators are always free. All proceeds go to the Woodstock Police Explorers Post 765. There will be music, fun and a 50/50 raffle (must be present to win). More information about the event is here. 

Sunday, August 20: Makers Market – Sunday Funday – Live Music at Holzlager; noon - 4:00. “Local vendors, local beers, and local fun. Join us for an awesome Sunday afternoon in the brewery beer garden.”
