Arterra Project, founded by John & Rebecca Hegner, exists to facilitate innovative collaboration by bringing people and ideas together across diverse sectors. The organization embraces a broad interpretation of art as creative self-expression. Inspired by Nature’s “Edge Effect”
Arterra Project draws inspiration from a phenomenon found in nature known as the edge effect. This occurs where two ecosystems (such as forest and grassland) meet, creating a highly productive zone where biodiversity flourishes. These transitional spaces often support species and interactions that would not exist within either ecosystem alone.
Arterra Project applies this concept to community-building and creative practice.
