More riffing on the "going green" theme, because Earth Day is coming up, after all! Alter Metals - operated so skillfully by our very own Shawna - is hosting a month-long fundraiser for Rotary - specifically to help fund Fueling Futures. So bring out your metal, take it to Alter, tell them it's for Rotary and they will match the value of the metal. The flyer is below. For those of you who may have missed it - Shawna and her company Alter/Behr are hosting a month long recycling fundraiser to benefit the Club and Fueling Futures. We are coordinating a one morning pick up for the club on April 27. Thank you to Tom N., Lloyd, Jackie, and Dave for volunteering trucks and trailers. We will need other volunteers to help load the donations at the different pick ups. If you have items to donate, please email John and let him know what / how much (Jbuckley@independencehealth.org). Once we see how much we are picking up, we can figure out the plan for the morning. You can click the link above to see what can/can't be recycled, but if you have questions, Shawna is our recycling expert. In the meantime, let John know if you are able to help volunteer that morning as manual labor and if you have items to pick up.
