Winter is definitely still here, but hopefully this is the last gasp. We are still meeting on line, but we need to start letting the officers know how we feel about going back to real meetings; yes or no, every other virtual or all zoom. Let them know. The Moose I believe is now available again.
We need to continue ticket selling. We are doing well, but have many more to market. Good exposure over Ground Hog Days festivities. Great effort by Tom and Tim to get our name out there. Speaking about getting our name out there, the discussion about sponsoring benches along the proposed bike path through town with Rotary signage on them would give us great exposure. I think that is an idea we should stay with. We need to make sure we keep our sign in the Rotary Triangle in good condition. That gives us great exposure
Recently we (some of the members) were discussing the women that have joined the club in the last few years and what a tremendous boost in energy that it has given our club. Some of us older members feel like we are slacken, but we can't keep up with the energy and enthusiasm of our lady members. My hats off to the ladies of the club for their tremendous addition to our club.
Country ramblings: Cold and snow have slowed outdoor activities except for the hale and hardy. Great for cross country skiing and hiking if you have snow shoes. Bird activity has picked up around the bird feeders so keep them filled. The suet blocks have attracted the wood peckers big time. The deep snow has slowed down the dogs, but they still enjoy getting out. Remember that a source of water is appreciated by the birds this time of year. A bird bath heater is of great help in keeping the water in liquid form. It won't be long and we will be starting garden plants, so enjoy the snow while you can.
Keep our ailing friends in your thoughts, Ann, and Laura's father. Let the bulletin writers know of others that are ailing so we can offer support.
