If you missed Friday's meeting, Peter Knapp's Fun and Frolic was a new twist on our Happy Bucks - Sharing Dollars. He realized that perhaps our members have things to share that may not lend themselves to Happy Bucks and wanted to create that opportunity (and I will speculate, raise a little more money for the club.)

We still tended to happy and I wanted to share Lynn Fiala's comments about Jean Radford with the whole club -

"Jean is an unsung Rotarian especially for the Literacy Program. Jean has a wonderful partnership with the Book Vine lady who supplies us with thousands of dollars worth of books free of charge. Every month Jean will review the age groups she has in stock. If she needs books, she and I will coordinate a trip to the Defenders used book store and pick up what we need there. Then Jean prepares about 48 bags of books with one book for each age group, about 6 books per bag. On the 2nd Monday of each month Jean brings the books to St. Ann's food distribution and we hand out books to any car who wants them.   That takes about an hour to complete. The patrons are very happy to receive the books. Jean puts in a tremendous amount of work getting the books together, I just hand them out."
