It was a chilly morning in Crystal Lake, but that did not prevent the hundreds of attendees and participants from having another successful (and emotional) Walk to End Alzheimer's. Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, Walk to End Alzheimer's is the world's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care, support and research. The McHenry County Walk's fundraising goal was $140,000, and I'm proud to say that we surpassed that goal -- and monies are still coming in. My team, The Unforgettables, raised over $10,000 just this year. I'm really proud of that. THANK YOU to all who have contributed.
