What are Rotarians? Rotarians are ordinary persons doing extraordinary things. That's right. As Rotarians and as ordinary people we are able to accomplish extraordinary things when we put the collective power of the members of our club into action. Think about what we were able to accomplish with CCH. Twelve hundred deliveries in about 2 1/2 hours. That is pretty extraordinary for a club with under 50 members. It will be even more phenomenal in the future after we begin to develop an enlightened program thru the use of the visioning program that is starting to take shape. Rotary is full of amazing stories of individuals starting programs with a passionate desire to help others. Paul Harris started a club over a hundred years ago and it now has more than 1,200,000 members world wide. One man started the shelter box program. Another rotarian decided to try to end polio and now 25 years later we are at the brink of accomplishing that almost impossible task which is now within our reach. Think about all the wonderful things Rotarians do around the world when they place Service Above Self, and think about how lucky you are to be aligned with such a great group of motivated people. It is an honor to be a Rotarian and we should not take that honor lightly because it is only great because we the members make it great. Rotary is a living and ever changing organization that relies on its diversified members to make it great. Don't keep Rotary a secret. Let the world know who we are and what we have done for the world and invite others to come along for the adventure so they too can be ordinary people doing extraordinary things.
