You will be required to answer questions. There is space on the makeup request form for up to three articles to be reviewed, however you will need to read more than three to meet your 30 minute visit obligation.

At the end of your 30 minute visit click on Make-up Request Form from the drop-down menu at top of page OR the bottom of each make-up program.

Read Makeup Request Form carefully, and follow instructions. A Make-Up Form will appear once you press the SUBMIT button (one time only) and an email copy will be sent to the email address you provided.

Once your make-up appears, if you know the email address, you can also click on File, Send and email a copy to your club secretary.

Greeter Responsibilities
As Greeter, please arrive early at the Woodstock Country Club to welcome and register visiting Rotarians and guests. Collect the guest lunch fee of $20. You’ll also:
Offer a brief reflection or words of gratitude before the meal—something thoughtful in the spirit of Rotary service
Take attendance
Introduce guests
Manage the marble drawing
Lead "Fun & Frolics"
If you are unable to serve on your scheduled date, please contact the next person in the greeter rotation to arrange a substitute.
Halloween in America may be the largest cost-effective plug for the dentists of the world. About $1.2 billion is expected to be given out this Halloween. It is not that dentists need this unofficial holiday to encourage their business. Judging from the bills I receive, they are quite handsomely paid.
A couple of years ago I came across this bit of doggerel verse placed on a particular tombstone:
Here lies Dentist Brown.
He’s finally filled his last cavity.
Nevertheless, all you non-diabetics, enjoy your candy day…and your subsequent trips to the dentist.
Segue: In many European countries the day after Halloween is the important day to celebrate life not death. “All Saints Day” is a day to commemorate loved ones who have completed their brief stay in this earthly life and left their imprints upon the hearts of family and friends. Trips are made to the appropriate cemeteries, fresh flowers laid upon the graves, and fond memories brought to mind. It is not macabre or sorrowful. It is not a day for planting rising skeletons or fake tombstones in one’s front yard. It is somber, respectful, and even joyful.
This Friday our club will take some time to celebrate and remember one of our most active and precious members of our Woodstock Rotary Club. You are encouraged to send pics and or bring them to the club on Friday and share treasured memories with other club members. If you have a digital pic, send it ASAP to Joe M. or Laura C.
I am happy to inform our club that the global grant application GG2464351: “Chilling for Life”, submitted by RC Pasto (D4281, Colombia) and RC Evanston Lighthouse (D6440, USA), has been approved by The Rotary Foundation and The Rotary Foundation-Canada. The award is in the amount of US $79,968. We have invested $1,500.00 plus a matching DDF.
As part of Tag Days, The Salvation Army has agreed to give up their bell ringing spots for us for our Tag Days, They just ask that we try to fill some of their spots on during their campaign. Contact Kim Turner (ksturner@ix.netcom.com) if you have difficulty finding the Salvation Army signup sheet.
Also,Culver’s is doing a share night with us on Wednesday, November 12th form 4-8pm. We need to have 4 adults there for the duration of the 4 hours. I am looking for volunteers for that. Contact Kim Turner.

It costs on average approximately $1.00 to vaccinate a child against polio in Afghanistan and Pakistan, including the cost of the drops and of logistics including transportation, vaccinator stipends, refrigeration, chalk to mark houses after each visit, and dye to paint children’s fingernails purple to indicate they've been reached. A child must receive multiple doses of the polio vaccine over time to be fully protected.
