Make-Up Online

Rotary eClub One
How To Complete A Make-Up

1

Read a variety of current articles in our Programs section and/or choose articles from our Archived Programs list and/or information from our Avenues of Service pages. You will be required to answer questions.  There is space on the makeup request form for up to three articles to be reviewed, however you will need to read more than three to meet your 30 minute visit obligation.

2

At the end of your 30 minute visit click on Make-up Request Form from the drop-down menu at top of page OR the bottom of each make-up program.

3

Read Makeup Request Form carefully, and follow instructions. A Make-Up Form will appear once you press the SUBMIT button (one time only) and an email copy will be sent to the email address you provided.

PRINT YOUR MAKE-UP FORM

Once your make-up appears, if you know the email address, you can also click on File, Send and email a copy to your club secretary.

Remember, as Greeter this week, you need to arrive early to ZOOM members, visiting Rotarians, and guests (collect guest lunch fee of $15.00).  You also provide the pre-meal prayer, check attendance, announce guests and visiting Rotarians, manage the marble drawing and provide "Fun & Frolics."  If you are unable to fulfill your greeter obligation, please contact the next person in the greeter rotation to take your place.

Club News
It was sad to hear about the passing of Paul Gerhardt.  Paul did the kidney dialysis routine for some time.  He was frequently seen at our Zoom meetings on camera while getting his dialysis treatment.  He enjoyed the friendship of our club even more after the passing of his wife. Paul will be missed.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Paul's name can be made to: TLS Veterans, 5330 Elm Street, McHenry, IL 60050. Or, to the Woodstock Rotary Foundation, PO Box 53, Woodstock, IL, 60098.
On a different note, we donated $1500 to LGMC for their program for young adults.  They had applied for one of our Community Service Grants, but were not selected by the committee.  We were able to use funds from our Vocational Scholarships that were not used by the students:  Tyler Schroeder from Woodstock North and Ava Primus from Woodstock High School.  Tuition for each student is $500.
The Board of Directors has voted to approve Kerry T. Smith as a new member of our club.  She was proposed by Jeremy Rutter and is the Corporate Development Director at Hearthstone Woodstock.  She has been attending our Zoom meeting for the last 5 weeks.  This notification is the final process for her becoming a member.
Please read your e-mails from Laura concerning updates on CCH.  The committee has been meeting and has come up with some new innovative ways to accomplish our goal of providing Christmas for those in need.  We will have to limit participation by the general public due to Covid-19 and therefore it will require more time and labor by our club in a limited environment to get the job done.  So be prepared to roll up your sleeves and go to work.  It's during these work times that one gets to know your fellow members.  If we make it fun, it will get done!
Country Ramblings:  Beautiful weather this last two weeks, with a heavy frost thrown in for good measure has made for some beautiful Fall color.  If you want a beautiful fall drive for color in the trees, venture north of the border and head west out of Lake Geneva a short distance to Snake Road, which curves around towards the lake and passes by beautiful homes.  It's a short 2 1/2 mile drive that brings you back to the highway after passing through a continuous hardwood forest that is currently dressed in its finest color.  It's worth the time spent. Woodstock has some beautiful hardwoods that are currently ablaze in color too.  The forecast for the coming weeks is for cooler weather, so do it now.
