Rotary eClub One
How To Complete A Make-Up

1

Read a variety of current articles in our Programs section and/or choose articles from our Archived Programs list and/or information from our Avenues of Service pages. You will be required to answer questions.  There is space on the makeup request form for up to three articles to be reviewed, however you will need to read more than three to meet your 30 minute visit obligation.

2

At the end of your 30 minute visit click on Make-up Request Form from the drop-down menu at top of page OR the bottom of each make-up program.

3

Read Makeup Request Form carefully, and follow instructions. A Make-Up Form will appear once you press the SUBMIT button (one time only) and an email copy will be sent to the email address you provided.

PRINT YOUR MAKE-UP FORM

Once your make-up appears, if you know the email address, you can also click on File, Send and email a copy to your club secretary.

Remember, as Greeter this week, you need to arrive  early to greet members, visiting Rotarians, and guests.  You also provide the pre-meal prayer, check attendance, announce guests and visiting Rotarians, manage the marble drawing and provide "Fun & Frolics."  If you are unable to fulfill your greeter obligation, please contact the next person in the greeter rotation to take your place.

We had a nice tour of the Opera House last week including some interesting notes on the multiple uses for the building over the years.  Especially interesting info on the original costs to build.  Unfortunately the current cost to restore is much higher in part due to current safety and building codes that much be met.

Denise has sent out the Beach Party info on e-mail so get busy.  Project money depends on the income from the fund raiser.  And income from the fund raiser depends on the efforts of each of us to accumulate quality items for sale to the public.  Start now!

Last week was a great reminder that Spring is just around the corner.  First the male Redwing Blackbirds appeared on the prairie eagerly staking out their territory and awaiting the arrival of their wives.  Then on Monday the geese flew over by the thousands heading north.  And the air was filled with the raucous calls of the circling flocks of sand hill cranes heading north.  The Great Horned Owls are already sitting on eggs.  The winter is cold and snowy but it makes the arrival of Spring so much more wonderful.  Get out side and enjoy it.
Back Home at the Country Club
We return to the WCC after the winter hiatus and will be served by a new chef and a new club manager.  Our new manager will be the former behind the bar girl, Leslie.  It will be good to see her back at the club.  We are fortunate to have a nice space to hold our meetings and enjoy each others company.
Interact Update
This year Creekside Middle School has been the home of Rotary's Interact program.  The goals for the program this year have been to provide opportunities for the students at Creekside to get involved not only in their school but in their community.  The group is made up of 12-15 students in grades 6 - 8 with dreams of making positive change.  So far  students have raised money alongside Woodstock Rotary for Christmas Clearinghouse with Tag days, facilitating Coin Wars in the building and raising over $1,000 to buy gifts.  The students then designed and executed "Purple Pinky Friday" in which they raised money to have eradicate Polio internationally.  This fundraiser brought in nearly $200 which was matched by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.  This month the students are focusing on Random Acts of Kindness, spreading kindness around the school.  The Interact Club hopes to continue making positive change in their school and their community with other upcoming opportunities for Earth Day and beyond.
