How To Complete A Make-Up

1

Read a variety of current articles in our Programs section and/or choose articles from our Archived Programs list and/or information from our Avenues of Service pages. You will be required to answer questions.  There is space on the makeup request form for up to three articles to be reviewed, however you will need to read more than three to meet your 30 minute visit obligation.

2

At the end of your 30 minute visit click on Make-up Request Form from the drop-down menu at top of page OR the bottom of each make-up program.

3

Read Makeup Request Form carefully, and follow instructions. A Make-Up Form will appear once you press the SUBMIT button (one time only) and an email copy will be sent to the email address you provided.

PRINT YOUR MAKE-UP FORM

Once your make-up appears, if you know the email address, you can also click on File, Send and email a copy to your club secretary.

Remember, as Greeter this week, you need to arrive at Woodstock Country Club early to greet members, visiting Rotarians, and guests.  You also provide the pre-meal prayer, check attendance, announce guests and visiting Rotarians, manage the marble drawing and provide "Fun & Frolics."  If you are unable to fulfill your greeter obligation, please contact the next person in the greeter rotation to take your place.

First Friday Social April 6th
Although the weather is not cooperating, Spring is here, come and celebrate the start of Spring at our First Friday April Social, this Friday April 6.  Come and join our club members for friendship and fellowship and to check out the renovations at Scorched Earth Brewing.  The social starts at 5 pm, but you are welcome to come whenever you are available.  Delicious wood fired pizza will be provided by Your Sister's Tomato starting at 5:30.  Scorched Earth Brewing is located at 203 Berg St. in Algonquin.  You may remember that Scorched Earth Brewing was a 2017 CCH Product Partner who donated the Jolly Old Scrooge beer.  Come out and start your spring the right way with great fellowship, delicious wood fired pizza, great brews and celebrate one of our great CCH partners, this Friday April 6 starting at 5:00 at Scorched Earth Brewing in Algonquin.
Volunteers Needed for Girls on the Run
Girls on the Run is an organization that works with young ladies in our schools and schools throughout the region to provide a positive experience and atmosphere for them to grow and gain confidence. Michelle Stien,  the Race Director for the Girls on the Run 5k, is asking for our help as a club.  Her club hosts a major community event at Woodstock North High School on Sunday, May 20, 2018.  They are in need of approximately 80 volunteers for their event and she wanted to reach out to our club, specifically for Parking Volunteers. Below is a link to their volunteer sign up. Feel free to share the link with non club members as well!  http://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080e4daea92da5fd0-5kvolunteers Thank you in advance for your assistance from Michelle Stien GOTR NWIL Race Director
Lunch - Reminder
As previously noted President Laurie has shared that for the next couple of weeks we will be trying a buffet lunch to try to better meet the needs of both our club and the Country Club.
Frejd Vocational Scholarship Winner
This year's William "Bill" Frejd Vocational Scholarship winner is George "Matt" Chase. Matt is a senior at Woodstock North High School and is planning to attend McHenry County College to study fire science.

Matt received $2,000 from our club and has been forwarded to the District for their vocational scholarship - which could be an additional $1,500 scholarship.

Next up is our Service Above Self scholarship which has to be postmarked April 6. If you know any high school seniors who embody service to their community encourage them to apply.

Beach Party is just around the corner - just six weeks from Friday's meeting. We should all be working hard on selling tickets, putting together live auction packages and raffle baskets.
